About Tous les Jours

French Bakery

Located at 7725 Balboa Ave, San Diego, CA 92111, Tous les Jours operates as an asian bakery serving San Diego in California. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.

Hours at these spots often run into the evening, later than a typical coffee shop, and many stay open on weekends when demand is highest in San Diego. Seasonal and limited-time drink or dessert flavors are common, so a shop's current menu can differ from what is posted online; checking recent photos or calling ahead helps. Some locations in California are dessert-only with no seating, meant for takeout, while others have cafe-style seating for staying a while. Straws for bubble tea are typically wide to accommodate the toppings, and are provided automatically unless you ask for a regular one. Loyalty apps and stamp cards are common at chain locations, and ordering ahead through an app can shorten a wait considerably at busy locations during peak after-school and after-dinner hours.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. Typical hours are 8 am–8 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (858) 836-1016. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, tljus.com.

Its Google rating is 3.9 out of 5 from 97 reviews, a solid but mixed picture; reading the most recent reviews will tell you what to expect.

San Diego is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around San Diego is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

I’m a huge believer in being a truth teller and this was the worst $55 I’ve ever spent on a cake. It was old and dry but looked pretty. Beware of all the glitter, I even bought the morning buns and it was pure trash. I give this bakery two thumbs down.

I would rate 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ but it was low stocked or stuff was not out yet. Maybe understaff. I would make another round just to update rate. Love the Churro Twist Donut 4.6 ⭐

I would give zero stars if that were an option. Avoid this store entirely if you are ordering a cake for an important occasion β€” they can completely ruin your day. On Friday, Feb. 13, 2026, we went to the store, placed and fully prepaid for a custom birthday cake scheduled for pickup Monday morning, Feb 16, 2026, for our daughter’s birthday. Upon arrival at the confirmed pickup time, we were informed that the cake had not been made at all. No prior notice, explanation, or attempt at proactive resolution was provided. This represents a complete breakdown in basic order management and quality control. A prepaid custom order for a child’s birthday should never be overlooked under any circumstance. Customers trust bakeries with important life moments. Failing to fulfill a confirmed, prepaid birthday order β€” without even informing the customer β€” is unacceptable and demonstrates a serious lack of professionalism and accountability. We strongly caution others against relying on this location for any special occasion.

I came in with high hope because my sister recommended it and the location in La Jolla has lots of good reviews but they don’t open on Sundays so I had to go to this location inside H Mart to get some birthday cakes. I got 5 different things and they were not good. Mini tiramisu cake: there was no tiramisu flavor at all. The cream is way too thick and rich compared to the cake part. And it was pretty sweet. 1/5. Strawberry lychee cake 6 inch and chocolate cloud cake 8 inch: both cakes were dry and too sweet. There was too much cream. I couldn’t really taste the flavors in either cake. 1/5. Portuguese egg tart: the shell was crunchy and flaky. But the egg filling was way too sweet. 2/5. Garlic cream cheese bread: I couldn’t taste any garlic. The cream cheese was pretty sweet. The bread was also on the dry side. 1/5.

This Korean bakery has really good bread with a great variety to choose from. The cakes and drinks menu also looked very good, so there are plenty of options beyond just bread. The shop is new and very clean, and I liked that all the bread was displayed individually wrapped, which made everything feel fresh and hygienic.
